Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan is an autonomous body under the Ministry of H.R.D, Government of India which was started way back in 1965 for the benefit of the children of transferable employees of the Government of India 981 schools are located allover India under 18 different regions with it's headquarters in New Delhi.
Kendriya Vidyalaya Ponda is in defence sector, attached to 6TTR, 2STC, Indian Army.
The Vidyalaya is having classes from I to XII. All classes are having one division each, XI and XII are of science stream.
The new building of KV Ponda was constructed in 2005.
